The sulphur reduction is an E.P.A. driven thing, good and bad, sulphuric acid can cause problems in an engine, forget how it happens, and the emissions are supposed to be cleaner. The sulphur removal process, apparently lowers the lubricity of the fuel, so the sulphur obviously is just something that has not been refined out as I understand it, problem is your injector pump may not like the lower lubricity qualities of the fuels with the sulphur reduced. Some people add ATF to the fuel, and there seems to be other additives to combat this, not the end of the world, had followed this on another forum, was worried about my old Cat's fuel system, kind of sucks for older equipment, someone who knows diesel fuel systems would be better suited to discuss this, can't imagine all the older diesels becoming obsolete over night because of this, be a lot of angry people to deal with.
