Sorry I P____ you off! However, TAI, If you pop the clutch on a stationary tractor in a forward gear, what happens to the front end? Goes UP, doesn't it? Same thing's gonna happen when that log stops the tires from spinning if you're in a forward gear. Counting the original suggestion by ltf in nc, my own observations, and weekend farmer's concurrance, I'd say that's a 3 to 1 vote count. Also, I didn't say I LIKED the idea. EITHER option sounds like a good way to BREAK something (the underside of the tractor in reverse, your own backside going forward!). I was only commenting the physics of the manuever. Any mechanical engineers out there that can resolve this? P.S. I didn't survive 48 years of equipment operation by being stupid. GH
