Keep it....Whats he gonna do , Kick your a$$????I sold my old service truck to a young ironworker..He put a 500 dollar deposit down , with the balance due in 2 weeks....Well , the 2 weeks came and went..Finally on the 3rd week I was able to contact him.. The job they were banking on fell through[ to pay for the truck]..I told him several people looked at the truck after he put money down[ truth]..After talking to him we both decided I was to keep the down payment..He wasn't happy but , I could have sold it to someone else in the meantime...If I buy something with a down payment to seal the deal , I'll have the balance on time..No Games!!
