Las Vegas, Nevada. I was over there for business and I was skimming through some agent catalogs, there are 1/4 acre plots with 3200 sq ft. homes for about 210,000-325,000. They were about 10 minutes from N. las vegas blvd. Pretty nice, if you ask me. However, since i'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to move to vegas, just watch out for those mortgage payments anywhere you go. The interest for mortgages on some cheaper homes purchased have caused a lot of people across the country to declare bankruptcy. I should warn you that a very cheap home with low mortgage payments may be a nightmare within the next few months of payments.
