Put in a furnace! The torpedo heaters, LP or kerosene, on the floor mean you get the full benefit of their combustion products, CO2, CO, and other stuff, e.g. they and you compete for oxygen. They will win. Worse, any fumes from gasoline, flammable cleaning solvents, or paint will get to the floor and be ingested enhancing the combustion products and easily igniting the fume trail. You may not survive that. And I doubt you can restore an old tractor with soap and water alone... Put in a furnace rated for garages with a proper chimney with the furnace up high in the garage. You won't be asphyxiated or burned and will be more comfortable. Trouble is, it will probably cost more than the tractor. But 6 months in a burn unit can cost more than your health insurance carrier is willing to pay. Gerald J.
