I've got a 200,000 btu kerosene heater that heats are big (dont know the size exactly, around 50'x50', 20' peaked ceiling, uninsulated) and it will warm up the barn from 32f to 72f in about 1/2 hour. It does produce fumes though, so i'd go with propane if available. (If you turn uo the radio loud enough you can still here it:))
