Tom, leasing land sorta depends on the area of the country and the conditions w/the guy you lease from. I lease 5A to cut hay on, but its understood that I put fertilizer back on the land. I pay the lady $100 a year for the next 2yrs and I keep all the hay. Some people will want as much as 2out 3bales if they have to bale it. I would offer only 1 out of 3 bales. In the meantime, be out looking for another place to lease, always have that Ace up your sleeve. If we don't get rain in Tx, there "ain't going be much hay" this year. HTH
