I have worked for my hometown telephone company since Al Gore invented the internet and had to fix all the dialup internet problems. VBG Dialup internet speed can be affected: Our company will not hookup a customer's computer to a cable modem if it's running Windows 95. Too old. RAM memory is probably the most important item to affects processing. Too little ram forces the processor to use the hard drive as virtual memory. Time is wasted accessing the HD to display the web page. For Windows XP minimun is 256 meg of RAM. Thats just to run XP. Startup IE and you need about 350 meg. Add the other software that adds little processes at startup and it's up 480 meg. XP needs 512 meg to run effectively. The new Vista may need about 1 gigabyte. Previous versions of MS operating software can be run on 256 meg. Another thing on the computer to look at is the anti-virus software. The new anti-virus software checks every keystroke typed and every data bit on the website that is downloaded. I use AVG because it's simple and free. I think the site is at WWW.avg.com. If you are using the only phone line in the house, then remove them one at time to see if the download time improves. Same thing if you have a second line for internet dialup service. The next thing to do call the telephone company and have the line checked or ask for a dailup internet phone line. Sometimes the telephone company uses line concentrators which combines 2 phone lines unto a 1 cable pair. Cuts the connection speed in half. Most phone lines will run at the 50k connection speed or better depending on how far you are from the telephone company's office.

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
