OK, so it is the carb, not ignition, not feed to carb. Not fuel cap either - takes a lot longer to get enough vacuum in the tank to hold up the fuel flow, so would run for some time before it then gives your symptoms. As Rexalot says - Does fuel drain from the float bowl? - I add "at full flow for at least a minute". When I say full flow, I mean much, much, more than a dribble! That is the most likely fault, nearly every time on my Olivers, but mine tend to run a bit more than 10seconds. Carb may well have a very fine filter at inlet elbow. They are prone to blocking - work well but also may get varnished up as well. Float may be sticking in up position by catching on a home-made gasket. regards, RAB
