I kinda picked up from this post that I should have looked at the drawbar prior to considering my project. The drawbar hole has been elongated enough that I will have to have it welded up and rebored. The lift arms swivels are elongated and will have to be replaced. The arms look like they were about ripped clear off the tractor. Many cracks and stress marks... The lower lift arm link was broken clear off and the upper knuckles are junked. I could not figure out why my friend made the comment that it looked like this tractor was wholely responsible for pulling the mississippi river all the way to the gulf. Never really thought about that comment til now. Oh well, guess that means the MF65 did not make this list! That 2010 is a pretty tractor though. Never owned one though... Aaron

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
