Just an idea of where the base metals business is at, these are prices at the close on March 16 as reported in the Financial Times in London.
Nickel $47,700 per ton (expected to peak at $50,000 per ton. then crash, steel makers are substituting.)
Copper $6,620 per ton
Aluminum $2,812.5 per ton
I wouldn't run right to the local scrapper and expect to get these prices for scrap, but this gives you a fair idea of where those prices are going. China is buying everything they can get their hands on.
