Burn Kerosene in diesel engine?

I have a little over 5 gallons of kerosene left over from a garage heater. The instructions that came with the heater say not to store the kerosene over a season, then try to burn it.

Can I mix it with diesel and run it in a new JD sub-compact, or 1955 Oliver? What are my options for this fuel? Ignore the heater instructions?
