Yep fluid works well in them and helps them a lot. Theres a number of types of fluid you can use and each has its good and bad points. CACL works well but if you get a leak in the tube it will eat the rim. Beet juice works well but can be hard to find. Anti freeze also works well but if it leaks can kill animals. My self I use windsheild wiper washer fluid. It doesn't eat the rims and is safe for animals also but its lighter then the other stuff but not by much
