Carb - idle mixture screw - turn in, then back out two turns. Main load screw - start with four turns out. Float - 1/4" Distributors - all of them set at .019 - .022" regardless if Wico, Delco, or Prestolite. All have a max. advance of 30 degrees at 2400 RPM. Spark plugs - .025" Keep in mind having the proper 6 volt coil on 2010s is critical. Many generic coils will result in a bad starting engine in cold weather. I don't think we ever had as many headaches with ignition systems on any other Deere gas engine as we did with the 1010/2010 series. Use the correct coil, and make sure the resistor bypass systems is working. The original was built into the IGN switch, but Deere later updated it to a different setup.
