Wind generation is OK in moderation. The problem with it is that it has to be backed up with a relliable source of generation. This source must be able to start and stop rapidly. That usually means combustion turbines. This power is not cheap. Wind generation is best built in large wind farms in windy locations like western Nebraska. A 2mph reduction in wind speed means a 50% reduction in generator output so placment is important. These facts can be verified on the DOE website. The moral of this story is nothing is free. Good Luck.
