It has to do w/economics. It doesnt pay to have somone design it, have the tooling for it if they arent selling. In the old days if you wanted to tow you had to row (shift) not anymore, these new automatics are awsome. Alsok w/emissions etc its eaiser when the computer shifts for you,.
