My son put some stuff on EBAY that I would have bought if I had know that he was getting rid of it. So I asked him if he would sell the two items to me and cancel the auction on them. He said no and that his reputation is on the line. I tried to make the last minute bid on the two items but was outbid by another bidder. I have to accept that it was the only fair thing to do.

If the seller knows what he wants why not offer a "Buy it now" price.
