It was stormy with greenish clouds swirling around the Stratford area yesterday evening - but we could see the real storms building north and east of us... There was very brief bout of golf-ball size hail over in Guymon and baseball sized just north of there a few miles. The tornado that killed a man and his wife was east of there about 50 miles near the gas plant. A lady in the office was saying an extra sad twist to that story was the couple that was killed had a son that had just deployed to Iraq a few days ago... Howard

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
