Why did it blow? I know of a Peugeot diesel that engine was ruined being delivered to dealer, pickup crew from dealer was salesmen and washer/detail crew- no mechanics. they got 3 gas, 1 diesel from Kenosha receiving wharehouse, filled all tanks with gasoline and drove them to dealership in Illinois where they would finish dealer prep- as in put on decals by filler necks that said ;unleaded fuel only'- OOPS this packet has a decal that says 'Diesel Fuel only- do not use gasoline' Don't worry- that engine won't turn over now, it started making noise crossing border, we'll have to get another engine under warrantee from factory- what do you mean driver error/abuse? Dealer has to pay cash for new engine? Call insurance company- check bonehead mechanic section. RN

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
