On Monday try 1-800-828-3274 for a possible used unit. I have had good luck cleaning old sending units to where they will work. Most times the problem is a "varnish" build up on the back of the potentiometer where the rubbing block makes contact. Emery cloth will clean the contact area. You may need to clean the rubbing contact also. Automoble sending units from the 60 & 70s can supply replacement parts if a certain component is needed.
