I do not know where you can get a new gas tank , but I have used muratic acid in my gas tank on my 8N and my Ford 801 and it has taken everything out. You can also clean up old rusty tools, clean files etc. to look like new. It is cheap and is avaliable at most hardware stores. Hope this has been some help, Good luck.
