Consignment sale today. About an hour into the sale, first row. A nice original Massey Harris 22. Rusty, but stored inside, really good condition. Started and ran very well. Nice older tires. Sold for $1100. 4 hours later, last row. Farmall 404 Narrow-front. Very rusty, very rough sheet metal. Right rear tire blown out, left one barely holding air. Rims were good. Engine stuck. Manifold shot. Missing Seat. Live hyd., but non-live PTO. Basically a parts tractor for someone less ambitious than me. I walked away at $1100. Am I missing something here? Is there something I don't know about? I was blown away that it brought that much, in comparison to the Massey. Stuff was going cheap all day, but the one thing I thought I could afford, went sky-high in my opinion. Any theories?
