I bet you have an impacted eardrum with earwax. I have one ear that bothers from time to time. It starts with an intense ringing and a plugged feeling if its bad. You can buy special softeners but I use hydrogen peroxide. Let it soak for a few minutes then flush with warm water from a 20 CC sringe with the needle removed. You may have to repeat a few times. If you don't want to do it your self you can visit your doctor and pay him a few hundred to do the same thing.
