If they're the same ground bees we have in Michigan, they are very aggressive. Of course if you're working on top of them you don't realize it until they start coming out of nowhere. As long as you can find their nests, any good bug spray will do the trick. Just be ready to get the heck out of Dodge after you dose the nest.
