Snowblowing speed

I suspect that no one wants to hear about snowblowing but I would like to ask the question before I forget.
What speed is best for blowing with the PTO dual range.
I am thinking that I blow to fast and if a rock got stuck in the blower I think that the chances of the shear pin not leting go are greater then if going slow.
I mostly rev it up and watch the snow fly.
What is better or does it mattter?
