Just come on up to NE Wisconsin, just above Lake Winnebago! We need about 80 HP to pull a 3-16, and 105 to pull 4-16's. That's all any of our tractors (Oliver 1855-4-16's, 1755 and Massey 285 3-16's)want in 2nd and third gear. No way do I ever want to have to drop down to 1st to pull a plow. That gear is for heavy PTO work, not tillage. Even 2nd isn't very fun for plowing, but it has to be done sometimes. Grandpa did it with the Oliver 1600 and 3-16's but it was painfully slow.
