You would be surprised how many people think they can just "hang on" or "brace" themselves when in an accident. You are HELPLESS when it hits something or worse yet rolls over. You ARE going to hit something and hit it hard. My son rolled and endoed his new Dakota Quad Cab for 50 yards before it stopped. Air bag is worthless in a roll over. It's deflated as quick as it inflates and will NOT keep you inside your vehicle when the doors are flailing open and centrifugal force is tearing you out of it. My son had his belt on and walked away with only a concussion (only?) I feel sorry for those who use the old excuse "when it's your time to go". Please... quit blaming God for your stupidity and if you won't belt up , for their sake , at least don't be stupid with your kids' lives too!! Please don't think I'm being insensitive to your friends passing , I'm not. I do feel double sorrow for his wife and kids though. An error in judgment , not an accident , has deprived them of a father and husband and will forever change their lives. Hopefully some good can come out of it. Maybe 10 or 15 family or freinds of his will now buckle up and thank him in their preyers every night for possibly saving their lives. "buckle up"! don't make him come down here!!!

The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
