Since the iron content in the ore mined in the US has been falling fast and imported in going up in price , the scrap prices for big iron and steel have gone up considerably and haven't stopped yet. In 5 yrs. an old stuck tractor will bring more $ for scrap than the public will pay for it to restore. The end result will be fewer tractors to restore and the ones saved will start going up at an unheard of rate. Then the "money market" people will start buying/investing and selling and making a hobby into a stock market. Don't laugh , it happened to the classic and antique auto hobby quite a few yrs. ago. Watch Barrett Jackson Auctions on tv sometime and see who's paying all that money for them cars that we "ustacud" afford! My '66 GTO that should be worth $15,000 would bring $40,000 if made available to those people. (when it reaches $75,000 it may find a new home) Hey , everybody has their price , I'm no different. Bottom line...get em while ya can , they are better than real estate cuz ya don't have ta pay taxes on em!
