I disagree with renting it out, IF you have time and rescources. Get a product that not the norm. look at growing native wild flowers, sell the seed at local stores, internet, or with 20 acres contact a landscaper of 2. It is in high demand and will be for some time. Sweetcorn. grow it , pick it, sell it by the cob cooked at local events. We got $2 a cob ready to eat last year. Made more in 1 day of 1 acre than I get for rent on 23 acres. You cab do strawberries, rasberries, asparagas. You name it. Put in oats, sell the straw in nice cute bails to horse and small animal lovers. Sell the oats or exchange it for harvest cost. If you manage risk and $$$ and make sure expenses are justified and have a decent ROI, you will be money ahead. I really hat eit when people say "rent it" You dont know it you dont try. Big farms are in it for the joy of it. They are in it for the profit.
