I had a 534 cu inch Ford truck motor on an irrigation well a few years ago - it blew a head gasket with a few weeks left in the irrigation season. It cut a channel in the block between the two center cylinders on one bank. I was desperate and didn't have much hope, but I ground out the channel with a sander, put some JB weld in it and snugged down the head with the gasket and let it sit overnight. Then I torqued the head down to specs and let it set 12 more hours. Fired it up and finished the season - about 3 weeks of 24x7 operation!! It's not a magic cure for everything - but it CAN sure surprise you! Howard
