I would get plow in good condition and plow the ground. You will probably always have rocks to deal with and if they are large enough to be a problem get as many them off the field as possible. The King Cutter box frame disk is not built very heavy to use alone in this application. Plowing will certainly make it easier. If you live in the north do fall plowing and that will let the soil break down over the winter. Usually one pass with a good disk is all that's necessary in the spring.
