Brad, Before you burn your barn down send me a email and I'll fire off a wiring diagram to you for that D. It's hard to say when we don't know what shape your wiring is or what may be hooked wrong to where. Is the terminal just loose in the generator maybe or insulators busted out? Bad brushes? A local electric repair shop can fix that part for you. I will tell now do NOT hook any battery powered voltage wire to that Wico magneto as it makes it own power and battery voltage will fry and ruin it.
