I'm glad you posted that info...I found a (dead)pigeon with bands on it's legs last year on one of my construction projects in New York City. Tried to find out the significance of them from the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation, but got brushed off by them. Looked up the site you provided this morning & found out the bird I found was owned by a guy in Arizona...Gonna call him later today & tell him his bird ended up in the middle of Manhattan.
