Glennster : I'm glad you posted that info...I found a (dead)pigeon with bands on it's legs last year on one of my construction projects in New York City. Tried to find out the significance of them from the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation, but got brushed off by them. Looked up the site you provided this morning & found out the bird I found was owned by a guy in Arizona...Gonna call him later today & tell him his bird ended up in the middle of Manhattan.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
