Someone mentioned the way they used to do things, In the early days some Hs and Ms had no starters, lights or distributors just magnetos. The belt on the main pulley and the water pump was the only one. We can't fault them for not having thought of everything while they were busy designing a machine that was infinitly refined compared to the F series it replaced and that would be in active use 68 years later. The real fun is when someone needs to change the alternator/generator belt that does not know how to change the waterpump/fan belt. You might just want to put a new generator belt on while you are working on the fan belt. The photo link is to a picture on Joe's M Farmall site. He has a lot of pictures.
