$60!! I think the most we ever paid was about $35 for a 50 lb bag, maybe $40. It's gotta be almost 10 years since we've sued milk replacer though so I have no idea what the stuff runs now-a-days. Seems to be much more economic to just use the milk a guy already has vs. paying so much for a bag... Of course for the guy that only raises beef and doesn't have any cows to get some milk from I guess they don't have any choice. When we bring 1 or 2 bull calves out to the guy we trade with we'll send along 1 gal. per calf, then after that he's on his own he's gotta use milk replacer on 'em. I noticed quite differenct too in the ones we kept for the freezer and the ones he has too, the ones we gave him are about 1/2 the size it seems compared to a calf the same age in our own barn... After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
