Dave, there were quite a few of those Ford 8000s around here several years ago. They were good tractors, plenty of power, and easy to operate. I don't remember that any of them ever had any unusual mechanical problems. None of those Fords ever went into the shop any more often than any other color of tractor. It sounds like the current owner is representing the tractor very honestly, and the asking price is more than fair. I think I would go for it.
