Truck: Take a minute too understand what you have, then decide which is the best way for you to fix it. Whenever you have a welded end you should be able to unbolt the head end and slide all the components out of the cylinder. Sometimes you may need to fabricate a replacement part or find another way to fix the problem. I've even found it cheaper to buy replacement cylinders at a junk yard or Farmers bone yard. Waiting sometimes even saves a little money. Chappy
