If all you get out of the tractor drive is to ride down the road I can see your point. In reality, the good, most popular and filled to capacity drives are more than putting on miles on the road. As mentioned before some benefit charity. A lot tour some really scenic country, and others are held as part of a larger event. I've never done one, but I look forward to my first some time in the future.
