Folks telling you the prices from a catalog, if your using catalogs your gonna go bankrupt with any brand.. If you're having that much tractor trouble, then you'll need a tractor, and not a parts supply. If your comparing apples to apples, the old Fordsons are a heck of a lot cheaper to run and maintain than some other brands. Carry the clutch and pressure plate to a rebuilder and have them re done. I had one done last winter the parts cost $113 with a new throwout bearing and all. They are extremely simple to work on. I said simple, not easy. The I&T manuals are easy to understand, and they pretty much cover everything if you have any mechanical ability at all. The Majors and Dextas are some of the best and easiest to restore tractors around. The only bad thing about a Major is that the JD boys always want to borrow them.
