Hello all, I am currently debating using a Cummins V470 motor in a chevy pickup. For those who dont know the V470 is the motor that came in the Versatile 145 back in the 70's. I have the truck all prepared for the motor...stronger suspension, wiring etc.. Anyways I have not taken the motor out of the tractor yet so I have not had a chance to look at the bell housing. I was curious if anyone knows what transmissions will hook up to this? I know this motor is used in some marine applications and a few larger trucks in the UK. So there must me something that works. I would prefer not to use a transmission from a large truck unless it has a hydraulic clutch, mostly cause I dont want to have to spend hours making linkage. If it is my only option then I guess I will. Anyhow...anyone with info to help me I would greatly appreciate it. anthony.sigloh@und.nodak.edu
