I should have known better. As kids, my little brother gave my arm a yank while I was holding something. Took numerous stitches to the base of my thumb to put that back together. Last Saturday we were helping our senior citizen Mom & Dad with a dangerous tree. At age 86 the old maple beside the house is tall and massive but suffering from some dying/dead limbs. The safer limbs were cut with the chainsaw but the iffy ones were roped and pulled from the ground. I wanted to use the tractor but they were worried about damaging the tree. So Brother and I were giving the old 1 & 2 & 3 on a limb. We both had our heels well dug into the clay for traction. When near the end of the 3rd pull he "let go" of the rope. I was pulling with all my might when the tree pulled back and won. The tree's yank back was enough to twist the heel off my right work boot. My left heel stayed dug in but was carrying the pull intended for 4 ankles. Pop, SNAP,pop.................. So anyways the specialist looks at my left Tibia on Friday morning to decide is if requires some pins or screws. Messed up the spring planting and turkey hunting too. Thank goodness for those "Air Casts". Get that on there, well adjusted and properly pumped up. I could just about walk on that leg if I absolutely had to with it on. Plus it can be adjusted throughout the day and removed for washing.

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
