Sorry I didn't reply . I've been up to the Minnesota horse fair in the twin cities since Friday morning . Thanks to both for the replies ! Jaywalt , I agree with you about the pitting on the ram but this pitting is very minor and the rust is more like just a discoloration . I'm going to try this cylinder ( it's a two way ) for awhile before I rebuild it or trash it . I have two sources for new custom made cylinder ram steel within driving distance , I just don't know how much it costs . I took it to work and washed it out in the parts washer and worked the ram with compressed air and a little oil . It seems to hold air good up to about 100psi . My Olivers hydraulics will far exceed that pressure though . I would like to save this one , it's the kind with the pressure relief stop in it if you know what I mean . The pin that's pressed in by the collar and limits the stroke . Maybe it's called the stroke control . I saw the name of it in my manual but I'm not near my manual . Anyway , Thanks !
J.J , That's what I needed to know . I've never taken one apart since we send the ones at work out to be rebuilt , mostly because they are the industrial type with screw on end caps . I didn't really know what was inside but you gave me some insight ( no pun intended ;>) ) on it . Thanks ! Take care ! ...Randy

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
