I have a 302 with points, and want to convert it to duraspark. I got a dizzy form a 83 t-bird, and a ign box from a ford truck of the same year, same motor. The wires on the dizzy are kinda faded I can make out 2 colors but not sure on the third,, Anyways, Im gonna wire it up this afternoon to get it running, but cant seem to find a wiring diagram for a sorta kinda custom application, I have to change the plug on the dizzy to match the box, but both had the 2 plug box, but one had a different style plug, and wanting to wire it into the box I got off the truck. My question is on the 4 wire plug,, wires are orange, black, green, and purple. The dizzy has 3 wires,, top is orange, 2nd is faded, but I think it was red,, and the bottom wire is black, does black go to black, orange to orange, but what about the third wire? (faded red) this would be the middle wire as you look at wires comming out of the dizzy. any help would be greatly appreciated. Its a blue grommet box BTW.
