I have a standby generator with a Cummins 6A3 461 engine. It does not have many hours on it, about 400, and it's always started and ran great. Recently I moved to a new house and I took the system with me. When I moved it I drained all of the fuel so it wouldn't make a mess. When I reinstalled the generator I primed it and it fired right up and ran great. A few days later (last Sunday)I went to start it and it had lost it's prime so I primed it again and let it run for over an hour. Today I tried to crank it and it's lost it's prime again. So, what would cause it to repeatedly lose prime that quick? I snugged up all of the fuel line connections and I see no leaks. Any ideas?
