O/T: '84 Mercedes engine question

I took on a project of changing the engine in an '84 Mercedes 300SD(5 cyl. turbo diesel). It was partially disassembled when I got it, and I did not remove the donor engine. Problem is, I think I'm missing a couple parts. There's a steel pipe runs up around the power steering pump, and I have nothing to connect it to. Also, between the power steering pump and the valve cover there's a couple mounting holes with a clean spot around them. Looks like something was attached there, but I don't know what. Anybody have any clues? Or a pic of the engine, most particularly the left front side? I've looked on the 'net and can't find a good pic; the Chilton's book is no help either. Thanks for your time,
