At working speed that would about 3/4 to full throttle it won't brake anything if over revved as long as you haven't turned up the Governor like I did on my Case LA. Its pretty much a standard thing that lets people know what PTO is on their tractor. they come in either 540 or 1000 or both and your equipment will say which it wants to run at. It nothing complicated just set it for what it calls for and don't get excited about not being right on 540 or 1000. Walt
