I didn't know about the one in Ness City. Also don't know the effect on harvest. Custom cutters are declining because of high fuel costs. Some farmers have their own combines, others depend on custom cutters, others lease combines for harvest. The greatest effect may be repairs, and difficulty finding parts due to no dealer in that immediate area. However, JD and CIH usually have semi trailers stocked with parts that the factory (or regional represenatives, etc) send out. That will help take up the slack. Unlike Case-IH, Deere is in about every town of any size, I imagine the surrounding dealers will help take up the slack. Harvest in that area is about a month or 6 weeks at most away depending on what the weather does between now and then.
