Hey Walt; Can you post a photo of your IH 46 Baler? We had a B-46 baler in England in the mid-1960's, the only other baler that was better was the later B-47. Would be interesting to see if you guys had the same baler. I used one in 1966 behind an IH 434 tractor with 2 speed pto. Running at 740 pto at lower engine revs, it would out bale anything else. That auger feeding the bale chamber far out performed the other makes with sweeping tines. It was perfect with sisal twine but didnt like plastic twine until we got a modification. An independant trial at the time of all makes showed the B46 & B47 outperformed and had less missed knots than any other brand. Cheers David
