Assuming only a 50 amp.hour(?) battery to 70%. that means a current drain of lets see....about 180 amps. Should be easy to find where all that heat (over 2kW) is going, even if only for 5 minutes. If battery is bigger than that and/or discharge is to lower than 70%, siuation is even worse. You should have a huge flash when you connect the battery, let alone anything else. Sooo... are you sure the battery is dead and it"s not just a bad connection heating up and sending starter circuit effectively open circuit? RAB
