IHC light clamp

Has anyone ever seen a light clamp like this one? I have always seen the stamped ones. I did not even know there was a cast one as this is the first one that I have ever seen. It is on a 1943 Farmall M that my brother is rebuilding. Was it maybe only used during the first year or two of the letter series" production?
